Discover Namibia

More than just a trip to the heart of wilderness and desert, a tour of Namibia is an extraordinary journey through time, a return to the very sources of life.

An unforgettable journey

Namibia, bewitching and wild, is a land of contrasts. Grandiose, magical, sumptuous, "breathtaking", fascinating... Words fail to express the traveler's feelings about Namibia's landscapes. Not only are they magnificent, they are also extremely varied, from the impressive red sand dunes of the Namib Desert to the Etosha National Park, home to an immense wealth of flora and fauna, to the wild shores of the Skeleton Coast on the Atlantic coast.

Its population, one of the lowest in the world, has also remained authentic. I'll take you to discover the Himbas and Hereros, two peoples who have kept their ancestral customs.
What's more, Namibia is the safest African destination: no mosquitoes, no malaria, a free visa to enter the country and very welcoming people!

April to November
14 days - 3350€/pp if you are 3, 3950€/pp if you are 2 (air not included)

Total immersion in the wilderness thanks to a completely free tour alternating between overnight stays in bivouacs (sleeping under the stars, hearing the fire crackle in the heart of the African night, waking up alone in the world faced with breathtaking nature...) and bungalows to rediscover the pleasure of a cozy bed.

Aboard our specially equipped 4x4, this itinerary will give you access to the great animal concentrations of Etosha National Park, but also to the spectacular landscapes of the Namib, Skeleton coast, Brandberg mountain, etc...
There's nothing like the autonomy of a fully-equipped 4x4 when you want to explore Namibia's wilderness. What a feeling of freedom!
A tent on the roof of the 4x4 unfolds in a matter of seconds, providing a welcome sense of security (insects, reptiles and any large animals are kept at bay) and greater comfort, being further off the ground. A short video to see how it's assembled.

For those who are afraid of sleeping in a tent, I can organize a stay where we sleep in hard-standing accommodation, but the price will be higher and we won't have access to certain places.

An extraordinary program

Day 1 and 2 Windhoeck

Capital of Namibia.
Lodging in a lodge outside the city, a day on site to rest from the flight and do the shopping for the next few days.

Day 3 Naukluft Mountains

We head south for the Naukluft mountains.
We camp on the banks of the Hauchab River under the Cape ebony (Euclea pseudebenus). On the program: swimming in the natural pools, short hike, discovery of my friend Givit's Aloes dychotoma "forest".

Day 4 Namib Dunes

Sossusvlei is a salt and clay desert in the Namib Desert, part of Namib Naukluft Park in Namibia. Fed by the Tsauchab River, the area is famous for the high red sand dunes that surround it, forming a sea of sand (Sossusvlei Dunes). Dead Vlei and Hidden Vlei are other salars we'll be exploring on foot.

Day 5 Off to the Atlantic Ocean

We head north for Walvis Bay on the Atlantic coast. On the way, we cross the "Thousand Hills" region, stopping at Solitaire, a service station worthy of Baghdad Café.

Day 6 Skeleton coast, Messum crater

Meet the sea lions of Cape Cross, then off to Messum Crater. Camp in the middle of nowhere, with a magnificent sky free of light pollution.

Days 7 and 8 Brandberg Mountain

Camp at White Lady lodge, hike to discover rock paintings, search for the mythical Desert Elephants.

Day 9 Etosha West

Camp at Olifant Rust, photo safari in this newly opened part of the park.

Days 10 and 11 Etosha East

Photo safari in the Halali area, where the Big Five can be seen.

Day 12 Okonjima, wildlife study reserve

Camp in this famous reserve where you can find some very rare animals: Leopard, Brown Hyena, Otocyon, etc.

Day 13 Return to Windoeck
